Safety 1st Grow & Go Sprint child car seat recalled due to choking hazard

Nearly 180,000 Safety 1st Grow & Go Sprint child car seats have been recalled because pieces of foam can present a choking hazard to a child, increasing the risk of injury.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued the recall on models CC321GYU, CC321GYUD, CC321GYD, CC321GYYD, CC321HOA, and CC321HAR.

According to the NHTSA, the hardest foam pad is not adequately secured, which can allow a child to pick off pieces of foam.

Dorel Juvenile Group (Dorel) will mail a replacement headrest pad assembly kit, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 9, 2025.
